Humboldt Community Access & Resource Center's counseling services aims to fulfill identified, unmet emotional support needs of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their families. We are also committed to providing this service to and the general community.

HCAR’s mission is to connect people with disabilities to opportunities while fostering inclusion and creating programs for learning, living, and employment. These counseling services further enhance this mission by offering essential mental health support.

Public Therapy and Clinical Services

Pennie Lee (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, supervised by a licensed clinician. She has in-person or telehealth openings for adolescents and young adults struggling with life transitions, and brings a diverse skill set with specializations in dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and a person-centered approach. Pennie has experience working with people of all abilities who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
