The annual Humboldt Obon Festival will be held at the Creamery District in Arcata. There will be a Buddhist priest to bless the Festival and share the stories and traditions of Obon, an altar to honor our ancestors, food vendors (Asian and Pacific Islander cuisine), children’s activities, music, Bon Dancing, and more. HCAR will be tabling at this event! First 5 Humboldt and RCRC are hosting a free family resource fair. Come by and connect with local resources for you and your family. Lunch will be provided at 11am for the first 200 people. There will be activities for kids and sensory item giveaways.

In partnership with the Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation, Pathway to Payday is a FREE four-day Employment Workshop Series, designed so that each day builds upon the next, focusing on the enhancement of application, overcoming barriers, and building interview skills, ultimately resulting in participants having the opportunity to interview with multiple local businesses with open positions.
